PITBULL TO ROCK THE TODAY SHOW ON FRIDAY

Pitbull and Marc Anthony will take the stage for the first time together for The Today Show’s Summer Concert Series in New York City tomorrow morning.   Pitbull and Anthony will debut their new single, “Rain Over Me.”   The Miami-based rapper will also be joined by Ne-Yo for his current single, “Give Me Everything,” and T-Pain will join him on “Hey Baby (Drop It To The Floor)”

SELENA GOMEZ SPEAKS ON DIVORCE

Selena Gomez opened up to PopEater.com about her parents’ divorce and why she’s standing up for single-parent households.   The teen star said, “I just think it’s really common nowadays…I grew up like that, and I was fine.” She added that she thinks it’s “nice” that her upcoming movie, Monte Carlo, touches on the subject as well.

BEYONCE’S YEAR OF 4 SPECIAL AIRS TONIGHT!

KATY DOESN’T HOLD BACK IN LATEST INTERVIEW

In her latest interview with Rolling Stone, Katy Perry isn’t holding anything back.   The pop star told the magazine about a celebrity who treated her poorly when she first arrived in L-A trying to make it as a singer years ago.   The celeb, who she refused to name, apparently treated Katy really badly and “ruined” her “dreams of that person.”   Katy even went to say far as to call this person a “c**t.”   She said that one experience taught her to always be pleasant while meeting her fans, no matter what mood she’s in.

ADELE STAYS AT NUMBER 3, GAGA SLIPS TO 8

Adele wasn’t able to regain the top spot on the chart, remaining in third place despite selling another 100-thousand copies of her latest album, 21.   Lady Gaga’s Born This Way didn’t have as good fortune as Adele, falling four spots to eighth, and selling just 49-thousand copies, brining her to 1.5-million units sold in the U-S.   The top two albums belonged to Jill Scott and Bon Iver.

GAGA CRIED WHEN SAW BORN THIS WAY SALE

Lady Gaga’s latest album, Born This Way, sold more than one-million copies in its first week, and not surprisingly, the pop star was thrilled by the response.   She told PrideSource.com that she “cried for, like, a week straight” after hearing the news, and that she could have “filled an entire ocean of gratitude.”   She added that she doesn’t care what the critics have to say about the album, as long as her fans love it.

GAGA HITS BACK AT CHARITY BRACELET LAWSUIT

Lady Gaga’s management has hit back at the Detroit law firm that filed a lawsuit against the pop star, claiming that she wasn’t donating one-hundred percent of the proceeds from five-dollar wristbands to help disaster relief in Japan.   According to Reuters, Gaga’s people issued a statement saying that the lawsuit is “without merit and unfortunately takes attention away from the kind deeds of the fans around the world who are supporting the people of Japan.”   We’ll keep you posted as more info comes out.

LINKIN PARK COVER ADELE

Linkin Park are the latest act to cover Adele. The band has taken on her much covered track, “Rolling in the Deep,” which has been featured on the likes of American Idol and Glee. Fans who wanna see Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda perform the track should head to Billboard.com now.

JESSIE J TALKS NEXT ALBUM

Jessie J has big plans for her next album, the follow-up to Who You Are.   The “Price Tag” singer told NME that the content of the record will be much different than her debut because she had “seven years to write the first one,” while her next will be about the life she’s “led in the last six months.”   She also added that she’d like to “record an acoustic album” at some point as well.   Read more at NME.com.

GREYSON CHANCE DROPS ‘UNFRIEND YOU’ VIDEO

On Wednesday, teen sensation Greyson Chance premiered the video for his latest single, “Unfriendly You.” The video shows a heartbroken Chance getting revenge on his ex-girlfriend, played by Victorious star Ariana Grande. The track is the first single off his debut album, Hold on ‘Til the Night, which is due out on August 2nd.

THE VOICE TO GO ON TOUR

NBC’s The Voice will be hitting the road this summer on a concert tour featuring the show’s eight finalists. However, their superstar coaches, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, will not be joining them. The Voice Live on Tour kicks off on July 27th and tickets are on sale now at LiveNation.com.

FACT OF THE DAY: FLO RIDA

Despite lackluster first week sales of his latest album, Only One Flo (Part 1), we’re confident that Flo Rida will turn things around. Why? Well this happens to be the same artist whose hit song, “Low” featuring T-Pain, became the most successful Hip-Hop song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Within the 50-year period of 1958 to 2008, no other song has spent ten weeks at number one and sold over five-million digital downloads.

GAME SHOOTS NEW VIDEO

According to Rap-Up.com, Game has spilled about what fans can expect of his upcoming video for “Pot of Gold.” The rapper said of the Chris Brown-assisted song that the visual walks “back through the days when I didn’t have anything, taking my son with me and showing him how we used to live.” The Bryan Barber-directed clip was shot in Compton. Expect it to premiere in the coming days.

DICAPRIO TO PLAY BEYONCE’S LOVE INTEREST?

According to Deadline Hollywood, things might get steamy in the Clint Eastwood’s remake of A Star is Born. Leonardo DiCaprio is being considered to play Beyonce’s on-screen lover in the upcoming flick. The news comes as Will Smith was also said to be in the running for the role. We’ll keep you posted.

FANTASIA IS PREGNANT?!

Stop playing! After pictures surfaced online, it seems Fantasia is pregnant with her ex-boyfriend, Antwaun Cook. This is the same guy that the singer attempted to kill herself over last year. MADONNA WANTS TO OPEN ORPHANAGE

Madonna has plans to open an orphanage in Malawi.   In a new TV documentary titled American Revolutionaries: The Hitmakers, Madge reveals that one of her “short term goals” is to build “an orphan care center that will service and reach at least one-thousand children,” and that she’s also planning on funding “several orphanages that already exist.”   Madonna has already adopted two children from the African country — David and Mercy.

FOSTER THE PEOPLE SINGER WORKED ON SPIDER-MAN MUSICAL

Foster the People have a huge hit with “Pumped Up Kicks,” but did you know frontman Mark Foster helped write songs for the Spider-Man Broadway musical? Spinner.com reports that he worked with Bono and The Edge on “Rise Above 1,” the song from the production that they performed on American Idol back in May. Foster says he is yet to meet the guys from U2 since they did all the work online, but he hopes to someday.

TRAVIS BARKER FIXES TATS FROM CRASH

It’s been three years since Travis Barker survived a plane crash in South Carolina, and the Blink 182 drummer is still repairing some of his tattoos after they were burned off in the wreck. TMZ reports that Barker was in Los Angeles on Tuesday getting some repair work on his ink. Barker is in L-A working on the new Blink 182 album, which is due out later this year.
