LADY GAGA TO PREMIERE “JUDAS” CLIP ON IDOL

Lady Gaga is set to premiere her “Judas” video the week of May 2nd on American Idol.   Interscope Records made the announcement on Twitter, adding that more details would be on the way.   The video was co-directed by Gaga and her creative director, Laurieann Gibson.   Gaga is set to perform the track on The Ellen DeGeneres Show tomorrow.   She will also perform on Saturday Night Live on May 21st, which will be hosted by Justin Timberlake.   She’ll also make a May 27th appearance on Good Morning America that will kick off the show’s summer concert series.   Meanwhile, the premiere of Gaga’s highly anticipated HBO special, which was taped at New York’s Madison Square Garden in February, will air May 7th.

BRITNEY’S REMIXED WITH NICKI MINAJ AND KE$HA

Just days after it was leaked on Friday, Britney Spears dropped her official remix of “Till the World Ends,” which features Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha.   The song, which was written by Ke$ha, was produced by Dr. Luke and Dream Machine.   Spears and Minaj have been hanging out a lot in the lead-up to their summer tour. They were together at the Factory nightclub on Friday night after Minaj’s show in Los Angeles. Spears later tweeted, “Early rehearsal after a late night with my girl @NickiMinaj. Can’t WAIT to get out on the road with you.”

TAIO CRUZ ALBUM UPDATE

Taio Cruz is hoping to have a new album out by the end of the year.   The U-K crooner told Billboard that he also hopes to have a new single out this summer.   Cruz’s latest song, “Higher” featuring Travie McCoy and Kylie Minogue, recently topped Billboard’s Dance/Club Play Songs chart.   Cruz will perform his new song, “Positive,” on the American Idol finale May 25th. The song will be the culmination of Coca Cola’s Perfect Harmony songwriting contest for Cruz’s fans, who are submitting lyrics to the work-in-progress track and can vote for their favorites on the American Idol website.

BRITNEY BANS ALCOHOL AND JUNK FOOD FROM TOUR

According to AOL.com, Britney Spears has banned junk food and alcohol from her upcoming Femme Fatale Tour.   The singer has strict guidelines for caterers that include no hot dogs, pizza or cookie dough ice cream, so she won’t be tempted.   She also doesn’t want any alcohol backstage.   Spears also requests that Michael Jackson’s music be played on repeat in her dressing room.      

CHRISTINA AGUILERA OPENS UP

While it has been a whirlwind year for Christina Aguilera, things seem to be looking up for the recently divorced singer.   Her stint as a vocal coach on NBC’s The Voice kicks off tonight and she admitted to USA Today that she is in a more positive space now.   Over the past year, Aguilera’s Bionic album under-performed, as her marriage ended.   She said she was humbled by her divorce and everything else she has been through.   The Voice films in Los Angeles and has allowed Aguilera to stay near her son, Max, and begin recording her new album.   Christina says the next record will focus on her personal evolution.   The Voice airs tonight on NBC at 9 PM Eastern.  

BIEBER AND GOMEZ TOP AOL’S REGAL POP COUPLES LIST

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez top AOL’s Regal Pop Couples list.   The list was compiled just in time for Friday’s Royal Wedding.   Beyonce and Jay-Z, Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, and Swizz Beats and Alicia Keys round out the top five.   Katy Perry and Russell Brand, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani and Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore are also on the list.

BEYONCE NOT PERFOMING AT ROYAL WEDDING

By now, you may have heard that Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z have been invited to attend and take stage during Prince William and Kate Middleton’s upcoming wedding on April 29th. However, her rep has told Entertainment Tonight, “The ceremony is not on her schedule and she has a shoot in New York on Saturday (April 30).” Looks like Bey won’t be performing after all.

GAGA TO PERFORM “JUDAS” ON ELLEN

Lady Gaga is going to be performing her new single, “Judas,” live on TV.   According to French Gaga website LadyGaga-Source.com, the pop star will be heading to The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday.   Check your local listings for times and stations.

A PREVIEW OF GAGA’S HBO DOC

A brand new teaser for Lady Gaga’s forthcoming HBO documentary has been revealed, and in it, the pop star tells an interesting fact about herself.   Even though she’s one of the biggest music stars in the world, Gaga said that she still feels like “a loser kid in high school” who people are trying to “destroy.”   See the whole trailer now on YouTube.

ELTON JOHN SAYS GAGA IS SON’S GODMOTHER

It was confirmed a little while back, but now the words have come straight from the man himself — Lady Gaga is definitely the godmother to Elton John and David Furnish’s baby boy Zachary.   In an interview with Barbara Walters on 20/20 last week, the legendary singer confirmed that Gaga is the godmother, while Furnish added, “Zachary’s going to inherit an incredible musical legacy from his father one day, and she will be a good person to guide him through the ins and outs of the music business, ’cause she sure knows everything about the business now.”   Read more at UsMagazine.com.

BRUNO MARS GOES PLATINUM

TRAIN AND MAROON 5 TO TOUR

KINGS OF LEON’S SUMMER TOUR!

Kings of Leon have announced a summer tour. The group is heading out on the road with Band of Horses as their support. The trek kicks off July 25th in Orange Beach, Alabama and right now, goes through September when they wrap up in Seattle, Washington on the 12th. Their latest effort, Come Around Sundown, hit shelves back in October.

PAULA JOINING SIMON ON X-FACTOR?

Do we finally know which three people will be joining Simon Cowell as the four judges on the forthcoming American version of The X-Factor?   Well in an interview with Deadline.com, Cowell said that it’s looking like he’s going with a lineup of L.A. Reid, Cheryl Cole, and none other than his former American Idol co-star Paula Abdul.   Of course, it should be noted that neither Cheryl nor Paula have finalized their contract yet, so things could still change.

ADELE IS BACK ON TOP IN THE U-K

It’s official — Adele is back on top of the U-K albums chart with her most recent effort, 21.   According to NME, it’s now been at the summit for 12 of the 13 weeks it’s been out, only moving to number two last week because of the debut of the Foo Fighters latest, Wasting Light.  

MADONNA’S MALAWI LEGAL DRAMA

Madonna is launching a legal defense after being sued by eight former employees of her charity, Raising Malawi, who insist they were unfairly dismissed from their jobs.   It all stems from Madonna having to shut down construction on an all-girls school she had planned to build in the African country due to what her lawyers are calling, “genuine economic reason.”   According to British paper The Guardian, papers filed by Madonna say that she was within her rights to fire the workers.   Learn more at NME.com.

COMMON TO STAR IN NEW MOVIE

According to HipHopDX.com, Common will reportedly star in an upcoming independent film titled L.U.V. The rapper will portray the uncle of a 13-year-old who is seeking a better life. While it’s unknown when the movie will open, Danny Glover, Charles S. Dutton and Megan Good are attached.

FORMER DESTINY’S CHILD ARRESTED

TMZ reports a former member of Destiny’s Child was arrested over the weekend. Farrah Franklin was booked and released for disorderly conduct around 6:45 AM on Saturday morning. Details are sparse but alcohol was definitely involved in the arrest.
