QUOTED: BUTCH WALKER PUTS TRAGEDY TO GOOD USE
November 28, 2008 | by Skope Staff
Music lovers may know Butch Walker either for his solo work or his credits with artists like P!nk, the All-American Rejects, Avril Lavigne and many others, or both. Either way, the musician has a new album out called Sycamore Meadows. It’s named after the street Butch lived on in Malibu before his house was destroyed in the California wildfires last year. Walker spoke about the tragedy.
“Needless to say that was heartbreaking and we were in New York City when it happened so I came back with two suitcases to my name and that was it and it was just a weird feeling, I mean I’m fine with it now, it was definitely an emotional wreck of my brain to process all that.”
Sycamore Meadows is out now; Butch Walker will play in Hollywood, California on December 4th.
