BLINK 182 GUYS TALKING AGAIN
November 20, 2008 | by Skope Staff
Is a Blink 182 reunion in the works? A blog post from Mark Hoppus indicates maybe so. On his site, Mark says that he, Tom Delonge and Travis Barker have reconnected through phone calls and hung out for a few hours recently. He reveals that they have all been “very positive conversations.” He says that they are now just “friends reconnecting after four years of not talking.” Does this mean a reunion? Hoppus doesn’t rule it out saying, “None of us know.” He divulges that the plane crash that left drummer Travis Barker badly burned back in September sparked the reconciliation, “The events of the past two months supersede everything that happened before. Life is too short.”
Cockpit recordings from the plane crash that left Travis Barker and DJ AM badly burned back in September have been released. According to E!, co-pilot James Bland, who died in the accident, warned air traffic control saying “we’re going off the end,” referring to the runway. The crash left four people dead, including Barker’s longtime assistant Chris Baker. More of the transcripts can be read online now.
