MAN WHO POSTED NEW GN’R TRACKS ARRESTED
August 28, 2008
Webmasters can’t post unreleased music without permission and one learned that lesson that hard way. Back in June, 27-year-old Kevin Cogill put up nine previously unreleased Guns N’ Roses tracks, reportedly from their long-awaited upcoming album Chinese Democracy. Yesterday, Cogill was arrested for suspicion of violating federal copyright laws. According to the Los Angeles Times, the songs brought so much traffic to Kevin’s site, Antiquiet, that it crashed. Cogill’s next stop is a court hearing.
