Psychedelic progressive rock band Bigelf has completed work on its long-awaited new album, entitled Cheat the Gallows. The follow up to the band’s acclaimed full-length Hex; Cheat the Gallows will see an August 12 release via the Custard label.

Sara Bareilles has definitely reached the point in her popularity where fans at her shows are singing along with her. The singer-songwriter told us about how she feels when she hears her words shouted back at her.
“It’s so cool because I am that person at shows, I love singing along with the people on stage, I mean I try to do it quietly and let them do their thing, but it’s awesome, to me it’s just a complement, someone is connecting or it means something to them, I mean god, yeah, it’s really cool, especially to be in a new city, a place we haven’t played before and there are people there that like the music, it feels amazing.”

Timbaland has a list of hits that keeps growing and growing. His album, Shock Value, went platinum in 16 countries. On that record, he collaborated with Keri Hilson, Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, just to name a few. When we recently caught up with Timbaland, he spilled the beans on who would be on his next album.
“Right now I have a song with Madonna that we didn’t use put on I saved in case I wanted to use for mine. Of course I’ma do one with Beyonce. I’ma do one with Jordin Sparks, Rihanna, of course the Jonas Brothers. I’ma try to have ten, ten major ones. Hip Hop…Jay. I already got my Lil Wayne song, I been had that from the last one. I got two me and T-Pain records that are retarded, Retarded!”

LIL WAYNE SUED OVER FIRE

Lil Wayne has been playing with fire. Reuters reports the rapper was sued last week for altering a song, and it’s not the usual sample theft that we hear about so frequently. The music publishing company that owns the rights to The Rolling Stones’ classic “Play With Fire” filed suit against Weezy for his song, “Playing with Fire,” saying it “is a clear derivative of the Rolling Stones song with the original lyrics and music altered in a recognizable way.” The lawsuit, filed in federal court in New York, charges copyright infringement and unfair competition and is seeking unspecified damages.
