QUOTED: ASHANTI SPEAKS UP ON GAS PRICES
July 4, 2008
After a four year absence, Ashanti is back with The Declaration and after the promotion process is over, she will be ready to hit the road. However, with the rising prices of gas, the R&B singer does not know how her traveling is going to be effected. She believes that this economic issue has had an impact on everyone, not only the music industry.
“Yeah I hear that you have to pay for your luggage on the am (Laughter) on the flights now. I think the gas prices is effecting everyone not only just the music industry, but everyone’s world right now, it’s kind of crazy.”
The Declaration currently sits in the ninth spot on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums list.
