J*DaVeY delivers again with the track “Might As Well” from The Beauty In Distortion EP. Within the first few seconds we are put into a hypnotic trance by the electro-soul fusion produced by Brook D’Leau and Jack Davey’s seductive voice. Unlike “Mr. Mister,” which draws us in with a harsher sound, “Might As Well” has a celestial sparkle. Lines like “Babe I’ve been working all day/ I’m not looking for a serious thing” are the perfect soundtrack for a summertime fling.

DMX was yet again arrested on Wednesday morning, this time for a bond violation. The rapper was on his way to court in Arizona to confront charges from an arrest in May for animal cruelty and drug possession. According to MTV, DMX’s long time lawyer, Murray Richman, said that his client knew he was going to be detained, but that he also acknowledged the fact that he must “take it like a man and face up to it.” Richman also stated, “The arrest was a result of him being arrested in Florida. That arrest violated the strict conditions of his $7,500 bond in Arizona, which stated that he could not be arrested while on bail.” Now, the troubled artist must wait for a new court date and in the mean time, he might face several months in an Arizona jail.
