BREAKING: MICK FLEETWOOD’S DAUGHTER IS OKAY TO GO HOME

July 31, 2008

Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood’s six-year-old daughter Ruby has been discharged from the pediatric unit of Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center today after being admitted in critical condition following a pool accident on July 18th.

“The doctors at Cedars are stunned by our little fighter,” says Fleetwood’s wife Lynn. “Based on the condition Ruby was in when she arrived at the hospital 12 days ago, none of them expected her to have come this far in such a short time.

She has blown them away with her strength and her will to survive.”

Lynn Fleetwood reports that Ruby is now walking on her own, drawing, kicking a ball, and recognizing more of her everyday words and objects. “Her smile is bright, her eyes sparkle and her sense of humor is funnier than ever before.”

On July 18th, Ruby and her twin sister Tessa were on a playdate with close friends of the family at a pool in the Hidden Hills area of Los Angeles. The Fleetwood family says that Ruby was doing somersaults in the pool, became disoriented, and swallowed a high quantity of water. She became unconscious in the pool, was revived by CPR, and was rushed by ambulance to West Hills Hospital where she was stabilized. Several hours later, she was transferred to Cedars Sinai Pediatric ICU.

“We would like to thank everyone at Cedars-Sinai for their excellent care,” says Mick Fleetwood. “Their wonderful bedside manner was second to none and helped us tremendously throughout this entire ordeal. We want to thank them for everything from the bottom of our hearts.”

Ruby will be treated as an outpatient at UCLA Medical Center. The Fleetwoods wish to thank the media for all its well wishes and ask that everyone continue to respect their privacy while they tend to their children and their family.

FROM LOWELL, MA COMES TERMANOLOGY / ALBUM DETAILS

July 31, 2008

Massachusetts-bred; New York-based rapper Termanology has now finished his official debut album Politics As Usual. One of this year’s most anticipated albums; it drops September 30th, 2008 through a joint venture between Term’s own ST. Records and Indy powerhouse Nature Sounds. Termanology’s debut merges the best of both worlds for all Hip-Hop fans, as its meshes classic boom-bap production from a virtual who’s who list of production royalty; DJ Premier, Hi-Tek, Pete Rock, The Alchemist, Havoc, Buckwild, Nottz and Large Professor all provide tracks, with Term’s lyricism, swagger and bravado.

Growing up in the streets of the post-industrial, predominantly Latino city of Lawrence, MA, the half-white, half-Puerto Rican MC transitioned from silly freestyles at age nine to full-fledged records by 15. Constantly traveling between Boston and New York to pursue his music business dream, Termanology released his first 12-inch in 2002. Through his alliance with influential mixtape DJ (and fellow Massachusetts native) Statik Selektah, Term began earning the respect of Boston’s Hip-Hop scene with several highly acclaimed 12″ singles.

NEW VIDEO FROM BLACK MAGIC HERE

July 31, 2008

clip_image003.jpgMagic Wands are a Nashville-based girl/guy duo fronted by singers/ guitarists Chris and Dexy Valentine.

The first time they met, the two only spoke briefly outside a show on in Hollywood in 2006 when Chris was visiting Los Angeles.  They wouldn’t talk again for over a year.

In 2007 while living in Nashville, Chris found a song on Myspace that he listened to repeatedly, day and night. Soon he discovered it was a song by Dexy, called Teenage Love.  He sent her a message, and soon the two began talking and exchanging mp3s of their music.

Having recently both quit playing punk music, they both agreed they wanted to start something completely different. For fun they began recording songs together over the internet, the first being a song Chris wrote for Dexy called Kiss Me Dead.
