CONDOLEEZZA RICE MEETS KISS

It seems as though Kiss may have a new fan… Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.  The politician was in Stockholm for an international conference on Iraq the day before the band was set to play a sold-out concert in the Swedish capital city.  It just so happened that Gene, Paul, Eric and Tommy were staying in the same hotel as Condi and she had a chance late-night encounter with the four rockers in the executive lounge at the Sheraton.  There, the musicians signed autographs and handed out backstage passes and T-shirts to Rice and her staff.  She spoke about the meeting with the Associated Press, saying, “I was thrilled.  It was really fun to meet Kiss and Gene Simmons.”  Condoleezza added that the band seemed well-informed about current events.  Kiss also invited Rice, as well as the Swedish foreign minister, to their show.  While they agreed to it, there is no word yet if they actually took them up on the offer.
