KID ROCK TO THE RESCUE

When Kid Rock played in Orlando over the weekend, he read in the local paper about a Florida Boy Scout troop that had been robbed of their trailer and all of their camping equipment.  The heist of nearly ten-thousand dollars in property, which took years of fundraising to buy, looked like it would cost Troop 631 their camping trip to Tennessee.  However, in a letter, the rocker said, “I will cut them a check for the difference and hopefully will allow the boys to make their trip.”  With the help of Kid Rock and other locals who read of the boys’ plight, the troop will make their camping excursion.  To repay the kindness of strangers, the troop is planning community service projects.

REMY MA SENTENCED TO EIGHT YEARS

Remy Ma has been sentenced to eight years in prison after being found guilty of shooting a woman outside of a Manhattan nightclub. According to the Associated Press, the New York State Supreme Court sentence for assault, weapon possession and attempted coercion was handed down Tuesday to the 26-year-old rapper, who was teary-eyed.  Ma faced up to 25 years in prison.

FOXBORO HOT TUBS TOUR!

Green Day’s alter-ego band, the Foxboro Hot Tubs, will be heading out on tour. The guys plan to hit the road in support of their new album, Stop, Drop and Roll, which comes out on Tuesday. The trek will get underway on Monday in Little Rock, Arkansas and wind down on May 28th in Long Beach, California.  Tickets go on sale the day of show and can be purchased at the venue box office only. Bring cash with you, they’ll set you back 20 bucks a pop with a two ticket limit.
