BEN SOLLEE GOES POLITICAL - ALBUM PROMO HERE
May 12, 2008
If You’re Going To Lead My Country will be available at all digital retailers tomorrow, Tuesday May 12th.
From Ben Sollee:
“It’s time…time for new leadership in this country. In my travels I’ve had conversations with all the demographics and they too, regardless of political affiliation, believe it’s time for a change. My mind is consumed with the potential that is ahead of us all and this new EP, if you’re gonna lead my country…, is not meant to criticize, but rather inspire. One of my musical and personal heroes, Sam Cooke envisioned change for his race, and in my adaptation of his song ‘A Change is Gonna Come’ I envision it for our country and global community.”

LIL WAYNE’S LEGAL DRAMA DOESN’T GET IN THE WAY
May 12, 2008
Lil Wayne has had his share of dealings with the law recently but the rapper told us that his legal goings-on don’t interfere with his music.
“None on my music; me personally, you know, I get looked at a little differently by some of my fans and some people period and I can’t do nothing about that. I can try, and I think when you try that’s what is look as just trying, so I don’t try, I just be me and you know it is what it is, take it or leave it. But as for my music, it does nothing to my music because nothing can stop that I have to be brain dead to stop that.”
Lil Wayne’s next album, Tha Carter III, will hit stores on June 10th.

We’re not planning on releasing a record this year. We don’t know when it’s going to come out. But we just started working on stuff in the studio. I never want to get in the way of what Linkin Park is. That’s my baby. That’s my band. Those are my best friends. The last thing I want to do is compromise what we’re doing.” Chester says he hopes to have the first Death By Sunrise album out by 2009.
