INGRID MICHAELSON ANNOUNCES HEADLINING TOUR
May 5, 2008
After capping off a six-week run as the headliner of the sold-out Hotel Café Tour with a performance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, independent artist Ingrid Michaelson will embark on a month long cross-country headlining tour beginning June 1st.
The Staten Island, NY-based singer/songwriter’s self-released sophomore album Girls and Boys continues to gain critical acclaim, with recent nods in Blender and Rolling Stone magazines while the album has sold over 200,000 copies. Michaelson’s hit single “The Way I Am,” which was featured in an Old Navy commercial this past fall, has meanwhile sold over 630,000 digital downloads to date. She is confirmed to play the CBS Early Show on May 10th, where she will perform both “The Way I Am” and her new single “Breakable.”
Michaelson is also one of four musicians to compose original songs for bestselling author Augusten Burroughs’ new audiobook, A Wolf at the Table. “Spare Change,” inspired from the text, appears exclusively alongside songs from artists Patti Smith, Sea Wolf, and Tegan Quin from Tegan and Sara.
Additionally, on May 12th Michaelson will take part in Project Sunshine Week by performing in the children’s ward at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan in addition to the Fifth Annual Project Sunshine Gala. Project Sunshine is a nonprofit organization that provides free programs and services to children and families who are affected by serious medical challenges.
When her headlining tour wraps in early July, Michaelson will perform at several festivals, including Milwaukee’s Summerfest and the Mile High Festival in Denver, CO before a string of dates opening for Dave Matthews Band in stadium-sized venues. She is also set to play both Bumbershoot and Austin City Limits.

DR. DOG ANNOUNCES FATE TOUR
May 5, 2008
In support of their upcoming studio album, FATE, Dr. Dog will embark on a headlining tour of North America. The 40 plus date tour will coincide with the release of the bands new studio album on July 29th via Park The Van Records. Forward-thinking but reflective, FATE is the work of an extraordinary band making magic from an enduring pop palette of intricate harmonies, shape-shifting melodies and ramshackle audio ingenuity, presented through the band’s slightly skewed and utterly individualistic outlook.
Inventive, magnificently realized and absolutely irresistible, FATE sees the Philadelphia-based quintet filtering the gamut of American popular music into its own idiosyncratic brand of blue-eyed, dilated-pupil soul. Clocking in at 43 minutes, FATE draws upon the events and circumstances that have surrounded the band over the last five years and incorporates them into the group’s most stunning work to date.
In addition to critical praise, Dr. Dog has won over the admiration of fellow musicians. In the last year, along with worldwide tours with Wilco, the Raconteurs, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, My Morning Jacket and The Strokes, to name a few, long-time fan Beck remixed the band’s song, THE GIRL, for a special 7-inch and Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy raved in his New York Times Playlist “everything about Dr. Dog and the way they sound draws on my favorite stuff on earth.”
As with the band’s previous releases, FATE was produced and recorded by Dr. Dog at their studio in North Philadelphia.
FATE will be simultaneously released around the world, the first for Dr. Dog.
A full European tour in October will be announced at the end of May.
