The energy and innovation of the Metermaids could be considered similar to the Beastie Boys in their punk/hip-hop days of the 1980’s. The Metermaids are the new frontier of the Beastie Boys BUT more have more instrumentals and an indie rock thing going on then the straight b-boy / hip hop sound of the Beastie’s.
